We all have read about the new school proposal at the state house and how Derry stands to lose over 7.5 Million in state aid next year. This would have to be made up from local taxes if this were to stand. Its time Derry residents get together as the 4th largest community in New Hampshire and say to the state legislators that This IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Looks like the Author of this proposal was a victim of a poor education. It is certainly true all schools are not created equal, yet student needs ARE equal. What we need is another "stimulus package" from the Federal Government. An investment in our Nations Educational Infrastructure combined with an increase in Teaching jobs; not just "Teachers" but Citizens with Real Experience at WORK (CREWs). There is a real need for CREWs, kids don't know what the future holds, and citizens need jobs. CRWEs could address both those needs.

We are not in agreement. I don't see where in the Constitution that the Federal government is authorized to get involved in education. Furthermore, my experience is that they screw up everything they touch. Education is far too important to allow those people anywhere near it.
