Marcoux leaving?

Russ has finally had it! When myself and two of the newest councilors were in meeting with Russ the questions from the freshmen were " why are you leaving" and the answer was "I'm spinning my wheels here" which is code word for he can't get anything done because he is bogged down in petty little things and the big focus is missing. Russ was brought in for economic development purposes and the council is squabbling about DEDC and $30,000. We need to get over all the personal agendas and focus on whats best for the town. In Bedford he will not have to put up with all the petty politics, name calling and jockeying for council seats. Its a sad day in Derry when good employees are leaving. Lets hope we don't lose more good people.

The Town Of Derry is losing good people, due to the Town Council, which was reflected by Mr. Reisdorf comment, "that Mr. Marcoux was hired to do his job" & that the Town Council job is not to micro-manage the Town. Yet, Mr. Reisdorf is paid by the Taxpayer's to run the Town, to which he decides not to do, he collects his check & pushes all the decisions on Mr. Marcoux. The TC blames all of their lack of direction on Mr. Marcoux, when the TC sits back and does nothing. If I was Mr. Marcoux, I would leave this town in a "heartbeat", just like his predecessors have done. Meanwhile, the TC continues to collect their checks & decide who will be the next "fallguy" for their incompetence.

So sorry to see Russ go. A loss to the administration of this Town. Unfortunately, he got tired of tilting at the Town Council windmill and getting nothing done. When will the new councilors figure out how to butt out trying to micromanage the individual town departments and actually LEAD the town. The Council meetings are like watching a comedy show; they can't even work together. How are we ever going to move forward???
They were elected to represent the people of the TOWN of DERRY, not the special interests of the former EDFD naysayers who are still looking to exact their piece of flesh one way or another.
I don't know about anyone else, but I'm ready to take Russ Marcoux's lead and get of of this town... God help the rest of you...

I hope the Town of Derry hires a new Administrator that has:

1. A clear and real vision for Derry.

2. A clear and real plan for this vision.

3. A person who can listen, communicate well, organize well, delegate well, read, think, has common sense and knows how and when to ring-up the State's Attorney General's Office for legal advice and help.
