In the Running

I just signed up for another run at Dist#4 Councilor. After thinking about this very hard for the last three weeks, I decided to once again run for the Dist 4 seat. I think it will be very important for someone with experience on the budgets to be able to handle a very tough upcoming budget process.
Services will no doubt be effected in the next budget and I plain on using my six years of knowledge to make the least amount of interruptions to core services. We all know the economy is still trying to find its way to some positive news and right now its tough for many. However, people expect certain services in a town our size and I believe I know where we could save some money.

Also, once again, we will need to find a new Town Administrator. I have had the chance to work with 3 Town administrators and 2 acting administrators and so I will be able to help select someone with experience and knowledge in municipal affairs.

I am asking for support of the people who live in District 4. I will need sign locations support so please let me know if I can have your support.

Sorry Brian but I cannot support you. It has nothing to do with the issues. Its has to do with upholding your word. You stated that you would not be running. Now you have changed your mind. Perhaps I take people's word too seriously but I value honesty. I cannot vote for you.

Do we have a list of who is running for each of the seats?

Anon 6:22,
never said I would not be running but its your vote and I can respect that! As long as you come out to vote and have your say!!

Glad to hear it Brian. Best of luck!

Brian,
There have been mistakes and setbacks in your governmental career. There always are. But your involvement and civic efforts are greatly appreciated by many of us. Your decision will make you a lightening rod from the reactionary old bulls and noisy little ferrets that will piss and moan to anoint their new Messiah.
Stay above it and press on.

Isn't there anyone in District 4 who is tired of being represented by this guy and will step up to run against him? Let's hope so.

I am happy that you have decided to run. This is no time for on the job trainig.
I do not live in District 4, however if I did you would have my vote.

10:06 Exactly how much training do you think it takes to be on the council? It just takes common sense. Unfortunately BC brings little of that to the table.

I will be running also.

Just heard that Al Dimmock and Joe DiChara will also be running for Dist 4 council

JAPDT:

Who the heck are you?

Someone running for a council seat, should have enough sack to use their name and not hide behind a screenname.

Wow, Dimock and DiChara (I built a highway in California.. really I did). BC you are starting to look better!

Al?
Al Dimmock?
Really?
No!
Come On!

I hope that the next council can work on helping existing businesses in town.

I just spoke with a few employees of Merrimack Valley Wood Products. Today was their last day; the plant has closed its doors. All accounts were sold to Jackson Lumber in Raymond.

Anon 11:23, i have had the opportunity to speak with Joe Di Chiaria on a number of occasions.

Joe nearly won the last election without really campaigning. This time, I hope he conducts some retail politics. If so, his district will see he is the real deal with deep experience to draw upon for the towns benefit.

Al Dimmock, you have done a great job on the various committees you serve on. But you have become a lightening rod of controversy as is often the case when fighting the good fight against a vindictive group of political foe's. You can't polish sandpaper, but even, so shine-on you crazy diamond and keep up your good work.

Brian, you said you would limit your term. Your attempt to justify your decision by saying "I didn't say two or three terms" should be reason enough for you to question your own judgement. This stunt gives great pause even to many of your supporters. Brian, you have served well, now it's time to support change and apply yourself in a new capacity if you so choose.

Just my two cents.

Good luck BC. I have never had issue with how you have represented yourself or your district. I hope to see you again having a seat at the table.

Brian, how come you are getting a hard time for running again, after you said you would not. Don't people realize you are entitled to changed your mind for betterment of our community.

Didn't KC say he would not run again, but then he changed his mind not too long ago? I didn't see any posts here "bashing" him for changing his mind. Guess we know all the KC and JF supporters post comments here daily, that must be the reason.

Keep up the good work Brian, you have my support!

It is too bad Mr. Metts is not running again. He seemed to be a person who voted with the interests of the town in mind and for the most part he seemed to be genuinely interested in doing right by the people. Thanks for your service Mr. Metts.

"for betterment of our community"???? Give me a break.BC when you write these things praising yourself, tone them down I'm reading this over lunch.

This is reality:

Taxes must be reined in.

Candidate Al Dimock hit a new low last night. He said there was no rule that he had to take his hat off at meetings. Metts replied that it was a request.
Hey Al,there may be no rule but its common courtesy.

Sad to hear that Mr. Katsakiores, our longtime representative in Concord passed away.

I am surprised AL was insisting on this.
He is from the generation that was taught a hat is not worn inside anytime, period.

I agree it is courtesy.
Would he take it off while in a courtroom, is another question.

I will be making this a campaign issue in order to distance myself from him.

This is what I meant to type. Sorry for the typo. :-)

Clearly BC you have the illiterate vote locked up. Don't you find being called "Brain" somewhat ironic?

BC- you posted the correction to the typo before posting my observation of the typo. Either:

1. 4 1/2 hours after posting, 8:31 realizes his error and is compelled to correct it this trivial error.

2. You are 8:31 and my posting caused you to correct your typo.

I think we've gotcha. However if it's #2 it must be fat fingers. We will concede that most days you can spell your own name.
